After trying for over a year to sell the property, Prince’s estate has decided to auction off property with an auction set to take place on July 12, 2018 at 5pm ET, according to Premiere Estates Auction Co., the company handling the sale. While there is no official starting bid, the property was on the market shortly after Prince's death in 2016 for a reported $12 million.

 

“How do you value a masterpiece like the Mona Lisa?’’ Todd Wohl, founder of Premiere Estates Auction Company, said in a statement. “The value is ultimately determined by the market—with a unique property like Prince’s Turks and Caicos estate, we anticipate significant interest and multiple bidders.”

 

A $100,000 registration deposit is required to place a bid, but if you don’t end up purchasing the property the deposit will be refunded.
