FERRARI UPS THE ANTE FOR IMPORTANT AZERBAIJAN RACE

As Formula 1 heads to Baku for the fourth installment of the F1 Calendar, Ferrari have brought with them the first upgrades of 2019 to help them close the gap on there nearest rivals Mercedes.


Under-performance in both Australia and China and hit by an unreliability issue in Bahrain means that so far Ferrari have not performed as expected given there astonishing pre-testing performances.


As the Baku street circuit is one of three venues on the current calendar where Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow has never won. The other two are Sochi in Russia and Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi. Binotto also revealed that the Baku street race represents the "first step in the development of the SF90".


Practice gets underway at 13 (11 CET) on Friday with the second session at 17 (15 CET) with qualifying at the same time on Saturday. The Azerbaijan Grand Prix starts at 16.10 (14.10 CET) on Sunday.
