Ferrari has successfully fired up its new engine which it hopes will end a decade long drought and finally bring the 2019 Formula 1 world championship back to the Maranello based team.
The Scuderia successfully conducted a fire up of its power unit fitted to the chassis of its 2019 F1 car for the first time at its factory in Maranello, following running on the test bench.

This season Vettel has a new teammate in the form of Charles Leclerc, who replaces veteran Kimi Raikkonen with with former technical boss Mattia Binotto taking over the role as team principal from Maurizio Arrivabene.
Ferrari will officially unveil its 2019 F1 car at its launch on February 15, ahead of pre-season testing which begins in Barcelona which runs from 18th - 21st February
