WILLIAMS SET TO HIT THE TRACK TOMORROW

Williams is finally hoping to get it's pre-season preparation underway with the team’s car set to fly overnight to Barcelona with testing set to commence tomorrow afternoon

Delays in Williams' production schedule have meant that the FW42 was not ready to run, however, after some very long days and late nights at the teams Gove factory the team now plans to fly the car to Barcelona tonight.

Claire Williams, Deputy Team Principal “It is looking more likely than not that we will now not be in a position to run on track until Wednesday at the earliest. This is obviously extremely disappointing, but it is unfortunately the situation we are in. Our car looks likely to arrive at the circuit between 4-5am tomorrow morning"

Williams have not revealed the exact issue behind the delay and with the car having not even gone through a preliminary shakedown yet, Williams claim "there will still be a fair amount to do but we will be working as fast as we can. Unlikely to run before lunch though."
