Breitling has unveiled a new limited edition Cosmonaute Artemis II watch celebrating NASA's record-breaking Moon mission..

Sixty years after it's first visit to space Breitling has unveiled a £9,500 limited-edition watch in honor of the Artemis II mission. The new Navitimer B02 Chronograph 41 Cosmonaute ARTEMIS II, is a glorious celebration of modern space exploration, complete with a stunning meteorite dial in striking blue.
The original Cosmonaute watch was created for astronaut Scott Carpenter’s 1962 Mercury-Atlas 7 mission, based on the Navitimer and Scott Carpenter’s specifications that he needed to be able to distinguish day from night in the midst of space, where the sun rises and sets every 90 minutes. Breitling provided a unique watch with a 24-hour display on the dial instead of the usual 12. And on May 24, 1962, Carpenter wore his Navitimer as he orbited Earth three times aboard the Aurora 7 spacecraft, making it the first-ever Swiss wristwatch in space.
The latest edition features a metorite dial in midnight blue with bold white Super-Luminova-filled markers, numerals and hands, and an engine-red chronograph seconds hand. It is housed in a 41mm stainless-steel case and powered by the Breitling B02 calibre, with an advertised power reserve of about 70 hours, fitted with a blue alligator leather strap and rated water-resistant to 3 bars, or 30 metres.

On the back, a sapphire caseback shows off the COSC-certified manual-winding B02 movement, which beats at 4Hz with a power reserve of 66 hours. The Artemis II mission logo is also printed on the caseback, celebrating man's latest feet in space exploration.
