Bugatti's La Maison Pur Sang restores an aluminum-bodied Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, ten years after it was originally comissioned..

Commissioned by a customer over ten years ago, renowned for his appreciation of rare and highly individualized models, this unique one-of-a-kind VEYRON challenged conventional automotive design through its defining feature: a body crafted from exposed polished aluminum, a feat of mastery that required blocks weighing up to 20 tons to be delivered to Molsheim.

The material itself is the centerpiece of the design, reflecting light across the sculpted surfaces and revealing the purity of its form from every angle. The expressive 'Carmine Red’ leather interior provides depth and a striking contrast to the brilliance of the exterior. Rich textures, exposed carbon fiber, polished aluminum and handcrafted details: every element has been selected not only for its technical function, but also for its artistic contribution. The result is a composition in which engineering serves artistic expression, and craftsmanship brings the vision to life.

Chassis 8.100 took shape long before it reached the workshop floor. Through extensive studies, the design team explored the interplay of proportion, surface and light – the very elements that would give this hypercar its personality. Once the design was perfected, the project entered the BUGATTI Atelier in Molsheim, where master artisans brought this incredible concept to life. Every stage of its creation was meticulously documented, establishing a lasting record of one of the most ambitious projects of the VEYRON era.

Yet this remarkable roadster is defined not only by its beauty, but also by the mechanical sophistication beneath its sculptural exterior. Powered by BUGATTI’s legendary 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine producing 1,200 PS and 1,500 Nm of torque, the VEYRON Grand Sport Vitesse delivers the breathtaking performance expected of every BUGATTI, ensuring that its character extends far beyond its visual appeal.

Through BUGATTI’s La Maison Pur Sang program, chassis 8.100 underwent a comprehensive certification process alongside careful refurbishment and reconfiguration. The work focused on restoring the vehicle to its original vision, with meticulous attention to detail, while safeguarding the character and provenance that define its significance.

Dedicated to preserving the legacy of the marque’s creations, La Maison Pur Sang supports collectors in identifying and acquiring the right BUGATTI for their collections, while ensuring that historic and modern BUGATTI models alike are carefully researched, certified and restored. From tracing a car’s history and provenance to maintaining its authenticity for the future, its expertise accompanies collectors throughout the ownership journey, whether returning a vehicle to its intended specification or modernizing it according to the customer’s wishes. For chassis 8.100, this included the removal of later personalization elements, revealing once more the singular vision with which it first left Molsheim.

This return to Molsheim speaks to a deeper relationship between collector and marque, with its original character beautifully restored, this remarkable Bugatti is ready for a newchapter, proving that exceptional craftsmanship and thoughtful preservation can keep an automotive masterpiece looking every bit as captivating as the day it left the Atelier.

Now entrusted to a new owner on the French Riviera, chassis 8.100 remains one of the rarest and most visually distinctive Veyron Grand Sport Vitesses ever produced.
