CRUISE BOTH IN THE AIR AND ON WATER WITH AIRYACHTS NEW CROSSOVER CONCEPT

Swiss company AirYacht has unveiled a radical new concept that pairs windpower with waterpower with its luxury airship and yacht hybrid...

The brainchild of Guillaume Hoddé and Matthieu Ozanne, the AirYacht consists of two elements; a helium-filled airship capable of flying between 100 to 3,000 metres above the ground with a streamlined luxury yacht coupled to its underside.

Able to house a crew of up to 12-passengers the airship utilizes a hybrid fuel/electric drive system to travel at speeds of up to 50 knots (93 km/h or 58 mph), with an expected crusising time of one week.

When it's time to hit the high sea's the three story 52-metre yacht can be be lowered down by cables then released when it reaches the water's surface, alternatively it can be winched back up when it's time to return to airpower.

Designed exactly as anyother superyacht the residence comes complete with three decks, 750 square metres of indoor space and amenities including a gym, sauna, swimming pool and touch and go helipad with accomodation provided for between ten and 12 guests across a five or six-cabin layout.

The AirYacht is shedulled to be ready in 2026 with one to four units produced each year thereafter.
