MATHIEU LEHANNEUR'S INVERTED GRAVITY COLLECTION

Appearances can mislead and our perceptions tend to lie to us! Inspired by the International Space Station "Inverted Gravity" by Mathieu Lehanneur is a new collection of art furniture that reverses the laws of gravity ....

This modern art furniture collection recently presented at Design Miami in Basel 2019 showcases blocks of marble and onyx as if suspended in air. Placed on bubbles of blown glass, transparent or slightly grey the furniture takes on a great aesthetic delicacy, blending craftsmanship with state-of-the-art processes, providing remarkable strength and resistance to parts.

At the forefront of the international design scene, Mathieu Lehanneur is one of the few designers of his generation who takes a multidisciplinary approach to creativity: from contemporary art objects to architecture, from artwork to a product, from craftsmanship to technology, the design is for the well-being of individuals.

Ranked among one hundred of the top designers and influencers worldwide by Wallpaper* and Surface magazines, Mathieu Lehanneur’s works are part of prestigious private and public collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris.

The contemporary artist, Mathieu Lehanneur is currently working on the renovation of the Grand Palais, Paris, as well as his brand’s collections, a foldable electric bike, the interior design for hotels, stores, and public spaces, and technological and pharmaceutical design.
