FOUR SEASONS HOTEL RITZ LISBON LAUNCHES NEW ROAD AND SKY SUMMER PACKAGE

The exclusive, four-night top suite package includes use of a Porsche Cayenne and a helicopter to fly over Lisbon to Comporta

Known for delivering customised, one-of-a-kind local experiences, Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon offers discerning guests an exclusive four-night Road and Sky package that includes a choice of one of the Hotel’s top three, one-of-a-kind suites, a Porsche Cayenne with a private driver available on a daily basis, as well as two helicopter rides to Comporta, Lisbon’s trendiest - and most chilled-out - summer beach retreat.

What more does one need?

At first guests will be faced with the more difficult decision of choosing just one of the three suites. The choice lies between the Hotel’s most luxurious, top-floor corner Presidential Suite; the elegant Royal Suite or the pure-fifties Residency Suite, the Hotel’s largest. All offer sweeping views of Lisbon.

Once that’s settled, the Hotel has packed the four day holiday with lots of adventures, in both Lisbon and Comporta.

Highlights from the thirty minute flight to Comporta typically include flying over Lisbon’s suspended 25th April Bridge which is startling similar to Sanfransisco's Goldn Gate Bridge.

The bridge connects the capital to the Southbank of the Tejo river, the lush green hills of Serra da Arrábida National Park, the Roman Ruins of Tróia, Comporta’s emblematic rice fields, the clear pristine water of the Sado Estuary, and if one is lucky, they might even spot a pod of some twenty wild bottlenose dolphins.

The hush-hush rice-farming village has lured A-listers looking to go off the grid for some summers now; both Christian Louboutin and Philippe Starck have homes nearby. Harrison Ford, Madonna, the Casiraghis, Sarkozy and Carla Bruni have all been spotted. Once there, a rustic bohemian vibe abounds. Just let the Porsche Cayenne whisk by the rice fields and along the endless coastline.

Guests can go horse-riding on Comporta’s secluded white-sandy beaches; enjoy a laid-back grilled fish lunch at one of the wooden restaurants on stilts on the beach; petiscos at the Museu do Arroz, which is housed in a former rice-husking mill; or taste the black rice with cuttlefish and aioli at the snazzier Sal. Top it all off with some shopping at one of the eclectic lifestyle boutiques at the village. Guests can pick up an array of gifts, from kaftans to jewelry, summer sandals, swimwear and even pottery. The Concierge team's top picks? A Loja do Museu do Arroz, Coté Sud and Lavanda.

The drive from the seaside village to Lisbon takes just over an hour, with guests comfortably seated in a Porsche Cayenne, “the king of driver-friendly SUVs. A very complete machine” according to TV show Top Gear. Rear passengers – even leggy ones – don’t fear. There is plenty of room. On the way back to Lisbon, with a personal driver behind the wheel, count the huge nesting storks on top of trees, posts and roofs, and don’t miss that first glimpse of Lisbon as the Porsche Cayenne drives over the bridge, absolutely breathtaking

And what about tomorrow?

Escape with the Porsche Cayenne up and down Lisbon’s seven hills, take a daytrip to fairytale Sintra and discover the historic centre of the UNESCO-listed village, drive down the scenic coastal Marginal road to picturesque Cascais, along the Guincho road all the way to Cabo da Roca, the most westerly point of mainland Europe.

About the Suites

  • Presidential Suite - A grand marble entrance welcomes guests to this top-floor corner suite, whose living and dining rooms were made for entertaining; a tranquil bedroom offers commanding views of St. George's Castle, the river and the Basílica da Estrela. The impressive Presidential Suite is the Hotel’s top suite.

  • Royal Suite - Natural light streams from panoramic windows in the Hotel's signature suite, where three private balconies, a spacious living area and a separate dining room invite hours of conversation, as well as space for a peaceful retreat. Located on the 9th floor and decorated in an elegant classical style, the suite features soft taupe and mauve tones with uniquely restored furniture from the Ricardo Espírito Santo Silva Foundation.

  • Residency Suite - Located on the Hotel’s fourth floor, this signature suite is the Hotel’s largest, and is a true homage to 1950s glamour, evoking the feel of the Hotel in its early days.
