With his dark and brooding looks Keanu Reeves seemed the perfect choice for the new Saint Laurent campaign for creative director Anthony Vaccarello. As with both the Matrix and John Wick films the NEW campaign is a trilogy of images.
Shot in monochrome by photographer David Sims, the 54-year-old actor – in one campaign shot, the Nineties icon is pictured in a close-up shot wearing a pin-striped blazer, simple black button-up shirt and aviator sunglasses, with his hair tied loosely - oozing coolness!
In the second photo, Keanu bows his head, his eyes closed in quiet meditation. He is wearing a black leather aviator jacket with a shearling collar, and looks rather calm and serene as in deep contemplation.
In the third and final image —Keanu’s hair flicks away from his face, while he stares intensely at the camera lens as if looking into your soul. His leather motorcycle jacket adds an element of vintage coolness to the short
Reeves succeeds rapper Travis Scott, who was chosen by Vaccarello to be the face of the Saint Laurent spring 2019 men’s collection.
