UNDER THE SEA!

London based studio Sturge Design and expedition specialist Pelorus recently unveiled a new 96m (315ft) explorer superyacht concept named The Rimor-X ...

Working in collaboration with luxury travel company Pelorus’ yacht expedition division and Vienna based designer Ben Julian Toth, the new concept named after the Latin word “rimor” which means “explorer” highlights this as a go-anywhere explorer vessel which taps into the growing desire for those who want to travel further afield and see parts of the world few others have.

Spread across five decks the project can accommodates up to 14 guests across four double suites on the lower deck, two VIP apartments on the main deck and a dedicated owner’s deck. The explorer yacht also features a large gym, a world-class wellness facility, and a 10m pool and Jacuzzi on an expansive main deck. The most striking features has to be the Mermaid Lounge, a partly-submerged living area with huge windows that allow guests to observe sea life as it drifts past. Views have been left unobstructed wherever possible meaning guests are never far away from a panoramic view whether inside or out. One of her stand out features includes a full-width observation lounge running across the bow.

There is no word as yet if The Rimor X will actually be built, but when it does get picked up for construction, it would come with a gross tonnage of 4,000 with a top speed of 17 knots and an impressive range of 10,000 nautical miles
