MACALLAN LAUNCHES THE 2022 M COLLECTION

The Macallan distillery located on a 390-acre estate in the Scottish Highlands near Craigellachie, has released a trio of limited edition single malt whiskies as part of the brand’s M Collection..


The Macallan M Collection has been designed to celebrates each of The Macallan’s Six Pillars, the foundation stones that have illuminated the path to create The Macallan’s unique and exceptional spirit.


These Six Pillars comprise Natural Colour, Mastery, Curiously Small Spirit Stills, The Estate, Exceptional Oak Casks and Sherry Wine.


The first three whiskies released from The Macallan M Collection are The Macallan M 2022 Release, The Macallan M Black 2022 Release, and The Macallan M Copper 2022 Release.



The Macallan M is the embodiment of Natural Colour. It is the result of The Macallan’s commitment to craftsmanship and dedication to using the finest, 100% natural ingredients. The Macallan M was matured in a small number of hand-selected Sherry seasoned oak casks, and showcases The Macallan’s rich natural colour, proudly. It is presented in a stunning handmade Lalique crystal decanter. Tasting notes include chocolate, dried fruit and spice. Priced at RRP US$6,750 (£5,000);


M Black offers a contrast and is the embodiment of The Macallan’s dedication to Mastery and unwavering trust in their craft. Aged in a rare black-ended Sherry-seasoned oak casks. It is presented in a handcrafted Lalique black crystal decanter to reflects the peat smoke within the whisky. Priced at US$7,600 (£5,700)



Finally the M Copper is an ode to the Curiously Small Spirit Stills that play an integral role in how we craft our precious spirit. It is a vibrant, elegant expression and reflects the authenticity which drives the brand and our dedication to innovation. It is presented i a copper-coloured, handmade crystal decanter. Tasting Notes include a buttery, viscous mouth coating with a fruity character and a hint of sweet malty flavour. Priced at RRP US$8,000 (£6,250).
