Sportstar's around the world are ruthlessly being targeted by thieves thanks in part to their love affair with high-end limited edition watches.
Here we reveal the latest in a long line of targets ....
Amir Khan - Franck Muller Vanguard (2022)
Whilst out in London with his wife Faryal Makhdoom, Professional boxer Amir Khan was dramitically mugged of his Franck Muller Geneve watch a rose gold watch set with hundreds of diamonds alledged to be worth $72,000 at gunpoint.
CCTV footage of the ordeal show Khan and his wife crossing a road in the Leyton area of London after dining out at a nearby restaurant when a Mercedes car hastily pull up alongside the boxer and two men leap out pointing a gun into Khan’s face as he was ordered to handover his watch before the pair are seen running off down the road.
Thankfully neither Khan or his wide were hurt by the incident. Police
Charles LeClerc - Richard Mille watch (2022)
Unlike the other sportstars in this list Formula 1 superstar Charles Leclerc had his $430,000 Richard Mille RM 67-02 watch stolen but didn't even realise it!
Whilst out socializing with friends in the Tuscan city of Viareggio in Italy the Ferrari F1 driver was approached by fans for autographs and photographs and whilst distracted an opportunistic thief took the chance to remove his designer watch from his wrist. By the time he realised the thief had made his escape and it was too late.
Lando Norris - Richard Mille Watch (2020)
Another F1 driver to be targeted by thieves is McLaren's Lando Norris. Regularly spotted wearing his $75,000, 50mm Richard Mille RM 11-03 McLaren Automatic Flyback Chronograph with a carbon TPT case, interlaced with Orange Quartz TPT and a black skeletonized dial.
The mugging occured at the 2020 Euro's final at Wembley in London, at the time Lando claimed he was thankfully not harmed but was left shaken by the experience.
Dele Ali - Richard Mille / Audemars Piguet / Patek Philippe (2020)
During a dramatic home invasion Everton player Dele Alli had three watches worth a total of £350,000 stolen after being punched and held at knifepoint during a robbery back in May 2020.
Relaxing in his home with partner, Ruby Mae, his adopted brother Harry, Harry’s girlfriend and another male friend masked robbers burst into the property which is located in Manchester during the early hours or the morning. Both Deli Ali and a male friend were assulted while the robbers ramsacked the home before fleeing with jewellery and three watches a £150,000 Richard Mille 11-03, a £150,000 Patek Philippe 5980 Nautilus and a £50,000 Audemars Piguet Royal Oak chrono.
