Ralph Lauren launch a collection of polo shirts made entirely from plastic
Earth Polo is a new collection of Polo's most iconic polo shirt created using recycled plastic bottles and dyed using a process that eliminates water. Made in partnership with First Mile, an organization that collects the bottles then turns them into yarn and, ultimately, fabric each shirt is made with an average of 12 bottles.
Ralph Lauren has taken on environmental initiatives over the years and has committed to removing 170 million plastic bottles from oceans and landfills by 2025. Among the company's other goals: the use of 100% sustainable sourced cotton by 2025 and 100% recyclable or sustainably sourced packaging materials by the same year.
The Earth Polo will come in four colors and will be available in stores and online today - April 18 ahead of Monday's Earth Day
