The DIVO is the most agile and dynamic car BUGATTI has ever created a perfect homage for the 110th anniversary, which will be held in 2019. A monumental driving machine, strictly limited to just 40 units and priced at €5 million each, its no surprise that all units have already sold out.

Here’s how that works:

Combining heart-stopping acceleration and greater downforce, Bugatti’s engineers have spent months tweaking the Divo to make it as fast as possible in the corners, removing weight (down 77 pounds) and adding downforce (up 198 pounds). It has the same quad-turbo eight-liter W16, 1,479 horsepower engine, but thanks to all the new aerodynamic elements, the car generates 1,005 pounds of total downforce. It is made to excite – a car "built for corners", says Bugatti. Indeed, Bugatti chose to name the new car after one Albert Divo, a French fighter pilot and racing driver who won the Sicilian Targa Florio back-to-back in 1928 and 29. Divo was known for his quickness in tight corners.

The DIVO is also a more extreme BUGATTI. There are new features all over the car to funnel air exactly where Bugatti’s maniacally obsessive engineers want it. It represents a new interpretation of the Bugatti philosophy ‘form follows performance’ with an uncompromising pursuit of the utmost aerodynamic efficiency. To shape the future, Bugatti have embraced the past.

The DIVO harks back to the golden era of coach-building, a proud tradition nearly a century old, by uniting a rolling chassis with a brand new body. The design is imposingly powerful and striking – unmistakably BUGATTI.

A special two-tone color scheme — Titanium Liquid Silver and Divo Racing Blue — is showcased inside and out, with an interesting dichotomy between the driver and passenger sections of the car. The driver is swathed in blue leather, while the co-pilot is surrounded by darker Divo Grey alcantara.
